Biomass gasification technology exhibition booth of Oxfam and partners CCS at the Mekong Startup 2022 forum
At the recent Mekong Startup 2022 forum, held in Dong Thap under the theme "Modern, circular, low-emission agriculture," Oxfam and its partners showcased and demonstrated the biomass gasification technology (VCBG) as a clean, sustainable, and low-emission energy solution for agriculture.
The VCBG technology stands out for its smokeless combustion and ability to utilize agricultural and forestry waste as fuel, making it a remarkable solution that reduces environmental pollution and safeguards the health of workers. Moreover, the design of the technology, enabling continuous, safe, and straightforward fuel input, has piqued the interest of startups visiting the booth.
The VCBG technology has garnered significant attention from startups and policymakers during the forum. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development has emphasized the importance of promptly exploring and implementing the VCBG technology by businesses, such as Loc Troi, to address waste from the rice industry and simultaneously mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.
The reuse of biomass to generate heat for agricultural product processing will make a positive contribution to promoting the circular economy in Vietnam.
