With the theme "Improving access to environmental law and justice for marginalized groups," over 25,000 individuals have gained legal awareness, close to 2,500 people have received legal assistance, and 12 initiatives that received the 3rd round of funding have contributed 9 recommendations to enhance the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection.
Specifically, the Department of Education and Training has replicated and integrated a few communication models on environmental protection for students into extracurricular activities in middle and high schools throughout the province.
During the workshop that reviewed the third phase of initiatives, the JIFF Secretariat expressed its profound appreciation for the strong collaboration demonstrated by 12 units with local authorities and specialized agencies. This collaboration has played a crucial role in advancing the progress, efficacy, and long-term sustainability of the initiatives.
During the workshop, Mr. Luu Van Thuong, the Chief Inspector of the Department of Justice in Hoa Binh province, highlighted how the initiatives' activities have a dual impact, benefiting both the people and the local officials. He emphasized that through these initiatives, the staff members have the chance to enhance their skills through practical experience and subsequently share their newfound knowledge with the community. Mr. Thuong further added that with resourcefulness, officials can effectively engage participation and mobilize significant resources.
