
With the theme "Strengthening access to law and justice for vulnerable groups, especially for women, children, ethnic minorities and the poor in Vietnam", the fourth Call of the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF) has received 88 applications from 82 organizations.
In which, 18 initiatives are assessed as very practical, having huge potential for implementation and in line with the criteria of the JIFF Secretariat:
1. Improving understanding of the value of water resources, economical use of water, and reuse of water in daily life for students in Hanoi - Institute of Water Resources Science (WRI)
2. Raising awareness and providing legal advice on cyber security and online transactions for women, children, poor people, and ethnic minorities in Ba Vi district, Phuc Tho district, Hanoi - Legal Counseling Center for the Poor and Community Development (LAC)
3. Improving legal knowledge for women, children, and ethnic minorities in crime, social evils and gender-based violence prevention and control in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province - Women's Union of Mai Chau District, Hoa Binh Province
4. Strengthening access to law and justice on sexual abuse prevention for children of ethnic minorities in Thanh Chuong district and children in some communes of Do Luong district, Nghe An province - Legal Consulting Center, Vinh University
5. Strengthening access to the law and ensuring the participation of women, poor people and ethnic minorities in local socio-economic development by promoting the implementation of the Law on the Implementation of Grassroots Democracy in Quang Binh Province - Rural Development and Poverty Reduction Fund (RDPR)
6. Promoting people's right to access information about the Law on the Implementation of Grassroots Democracy in three rural, coastal, and mountainous areas of Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province - Center for Disease Control of Quang Binh Province (CDC QB)
7. Raising awareness and promoting propaganda about the Law on people with disabilities for children - Hanoi City Disabilities People Association (DP HANOI)
8. Let the deaf be heard - The Council on Education of the Deaf (CED)
9. Empowering women through access to the Law on Cybersecurity and Law on Marriage and Family - Hoa Binh Women's Union (HBWU)
10. Raising legal awareness and understanding for parents and children from ethnic minorities going to school by boat about the right to study and safe inland waterways in Hoa Binh province - Center for Applied Research and Development of Social Work (CARDSW)
11. Raising awareness and understanding of the law to freedom of expression on legal documents for women, especially women with disabilities in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi - Center for Applied Research and Development of Social Work (CARDSW)
12. Strengthening the capacity to access environmental justice for disadvantaged forest-dependent groups in areas of Ho Chi Minh City - University of Economics and Law - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (UEL)
13. Promoting the enforcement of children's rights, and ensuring children have access to resources, health care services, and education for children with autism spectrum disorder in Nghe An province - Nghe An Children's Protection Fund
14. Raising awareness about the Law on Alcohol Harm Prevention for Children and Ethnic Minorities in Quang Binh province - Center for Highland Natural Resource Governance Research (CEGORN)
15. MODEL TEENYEEU 24H CLUB: Promoting children's right to participate in the development of codes of conduct at educational institutions from a gender perspective and improving communication capacity, giving suggestions to develop gender and sexuality legislation - The Institute for Population, Family and Children Studies (IPFCS)
16. Digital transformation in legal communication, legal advice, legal support in health, education, employment,and administrative procedures on Public Services for informal workers, especially people infected by HIV, people at high risk of being infected, women and children who close to them, pilot in five communes in Que Phong district, Nghe An province - The Center for Consulting on Law, Policy, Health, and HIV/AIDS (CCLPHH)
17. Raising awareness and understanding of the public, providing legal support and representing defendants, contributing ideas to proposals of legal documents related to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, especially women and children in accordance with the 2013 Constitution and relevant legal documents - Vietnam Association for Protection of Child Rights (VACR)
18. Promoting access to the Law on Protection of Children's Rights and the Law on Cyber Security to limit school violence, sexual abuse and child injuries in two border communes of Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province - Hong Ngu Lawyers Association
