Throughout the last decade, water security in the Mekong Delta has become a serious matter. Not only shortened in the rainy season, water resources are severely degraded and polluted, making the Mekong Delta have to endure droughts for many years. Meanwhile, the rise of sea level allows saline water to invade more and more in to the land. This represents the consequence of many factors: climate change, upstream development projects, and everyday activities of us humans.
We proudly present to you two photobooks compiled by Vietnam Rivers Network:
- Photobook "Mekong Delta: Confront & Adapt" (2016).
- Photobook "Dialogues with rivers" (2017 - 2018): Emphasize on gender issues & the position of women in management, using and protecting water resources and rivers.
