The Gender Transformative and Responsible Agribusiness Investments in South East Asia phase two (GRAISEA 2) programme aims to transform opportunities for small-scale producers in the rice and shrimp value chains. The programme achieves this by acting as a catalyst for the emergence of inclusive value chains and responsible business practices that respect human rights and drive women’s economic empowerment and climate resilience.

GRAISEA 2 works simultaneously on three levels (producer, private sector, and government), and across three thematic priorities: women’s economic empowerment, promoting women's rights, and addressing unequal power relations; strengthening climate resilience and reducing vulnerability; and collaboration with, and influencing of, the private sector on inclusive business practices and models.

Outcomes

1. Result 1 (Producer level): Female and male small-scale producers are able to participate and benefit fairly from economic opportunities in agriculture and seafood value chains.

2. Result 2 (Private sector level): Within the agriculture and seafood value chains, market actors deliver opportunities that integrate small-scale producers, promote women’s economic empowerment, and support climate change resilience through inclusive business, fairness in market linkages at local, national and regional levels. 

3. Result 3 (Policy development at national and regional levels): An enabling environment for business and human rights, and inclusive agricultural investment that supports women’s economic empowerment and climate resilience.

Within the project’s lifespan, we aim to benefit:

6,500 small producer directly;

68 producer groups;

40 enterprises;

7,650 employee directly.
