On December 20, Oxfam in Vietnam was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) for its notable activities in 2024, contributing to Vietnam's shared development goals.

Mr. Phan Anh Son, Chairman of VUFO, expressed deep appreciation for the valuable efforts of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and their steady collaboration with Vietnam’s relevant agencies. He emphasized the significance of the resources INGOs dedicate to Vietnam, particularly amidst challenges faced globally, domestically, and by the organizations themselves.

For Oxfam, this recognition reflects our persistent efforts, strong commitment, and the invaluable partnership of our collaborators and communities in overcoming challenges and making meaningful contributions to Vietnam’s sustainable development goals.

The 2024 INGOs Contribution Recognition Ceremony honored 35 INGOs actively operating in Vietnam. This annual event, organized by VUFO, serves as a platform to share updates on achievements and acknowledge INGOs with outstanding contributions throughout the year.
