The refined handicraft products of 10 Vietnamese bamboo enterprises have garnered significant attention and captivated a large number of visitors at Ambiente Frankfurt 2023.
The bamboo products showcased at Ambiente Frankfurt 2023 not only caught the eye but also stood out due to their compliance with international standards. These products were manufactured using bamboo sourced from forests that hold Forest Management Certification (FSC), ensuring sustainable and responsible practices. Additionally, they were certified for compliance with the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which further enhanced their appeal.
The exceptional quality and sustainability credentials of these bamboo products attracted special attention from over 150 international buyers. Notably, two contracts for sample production were signed directly at the fair, indicating the immediate business opportunities that arose. Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Hong, the Director of Eco Bamboo Vietnam Joint Stock Company, expressed her enthusiasm, stating that participating in Ambiente Fair 2020 had already created awareness about their business, and now, at Ambiente Fair 2023, they had successfully attracted hundreds of impressed visitors. Furthermore, the company is anticipating the potential to sign three contracts with major customers from Turkey, Germany, and Italy.
Mr. Thai Dai Phong, the Director of Duc Phong Co., Ltd., expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to reestablish the supply chain following the economic challenges and decreased purchasing power caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this, newly established partners have made plans to visit both the FSC-qualified raw material area in Vietnam and the company's factory located in Nghe An province.
The adoption of sustainable and responsible practices by businesses has yielded positive outcomes for both the companies themselves and the farmers within the value chain. The focus is not solely on producing good products; rather, it is on fostering a fair, sustainable, and responsible value chain. Such an approach contributes to the improvement of farmers' livelihoods and income, making it appealing to major markets worldwide. The interest generated is not limited to products of high quality alone, but also extends to those produced in accordance with ethical and sustainable principles.
