Delegates from the Ministry of Agriculture of the participating countries, universities, and agricultural organizations domestically and internationally paid a visit to the demonstration of biomass gasification technology at Hao Dat Cooperative (Thai Nguyen).
During the morning of April 26th, as part of the 4th Global Conference of the Sustainable Food Systems Programme, a demonstration of biomass gasification technology took place at the Hao Dat Cooperative in Thai Nguyen. The event attracted delegates from the Ministry of Agriculture of participating countries, universities, and domestic and international agricultural organizations.
The technology utilizes rural waste, such as corn cobs and mulberry branches, to generate thermal energy. This innovative initiative is highly practical and received a positive response from the delegation. Additionally, the smoke-free technology can be applied to various agricultural product processing industries in Vietnam. As a result, it contributes to the circular economy and supports the goal of reducing emissions in the agricultural sector.
As part of the conference, Oxfam established a booth to showcase additional innovative solutions aimed at promoting a sustainable food system. These solutions included digital transformation within the shrimp and rice value chains, as well as multistakeholder initiatives.
Oxfam's "Secured Livelihoods and Resilient Communities" program focuses on creating a comprehensive and adaptable agricultural value chain. The program aims to ensure equitable benefits for small producers and encourages the involvement of responsible business enterprises. Ultimately, the program seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam's agricultural-seafood exports.
