On the morning of February 25th, many parents of hearing-impaired children participated in the seminar "Dear, Mom and Dad love you so much" in Ho Chi Minh City, sharing heartfelt reflections on their journey with their children. The program is part of a series of seminars titled "Let our voice resound," organized by the Center for Research on Education of the Deaf (CED).
Facing a child's hearing loss is not easy, but the journey of nurturing and supporting their development is even more challenging. “Parents sometimes find themselves comparing their children to 'others'. However, if parents only view their children through the lens of societal norms, they may overlook their children's unique abilities," shared Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung, father of a deaf student in Phu Nhuan district (HCMC), reflecting on the path of "learning to be a parent."

To support the integration of deaf individuals, CED's project aims to raise community awareness about issues related to deaf people and children's rights, offering advice, direct legal support, and standardizing procedures at local hospitals. Throughout project implementation, community resources are mobilized to facilitate the effective application of state public health policies.
"In addition to raising public awareness and providing legal assistance for children lacking hearing aids, the CED Center hopes that schools and organizations will reach out to us for prompt equipment support," said Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh, director of the CED Center. “Our goal is to contribute to building an inclusive society for all.”
The project "Let our voice resound" receives funding from the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF), managed by Oxfam in Vietnam. JIFF is one of two components of the project "EU Justice and Legal Empowerment Programme in Vietnam" (EU JULE) funded by the European Union, aiming to contribute to the reinforcement of the rule of law in Vietnam through the establishment of a reliable and accessible justice system.
