On 17–18 March 2026, nearly 90 core farmers and representatives of aquaculture cooperatives from An Giang, Can Tho, and Ca Mau participated in the Vietshrimp Aquaculture International Fair 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City. The activity was jointly organized by VCCI-HCM and the Farmers’ Unions of the three provinces under the DGD Project.
VietShrimp 2026, themed “Smart Aquaculture – AI Revolution in the Aquaculture Industry”, attracted more than 150 brands and over 7,000 specialised visitors from more than 20 countries and territories.
At VietShrimp 2026, cooperative representatives and farmers in the shrimp value chain:
- Explored technologies for water environment monitoring, seed quality, feed management, and energy-saving equipment, while learning how to effectively combine traditional farming experience with artificial intelligence (AI) applications in production.
- Connected with more than 200 domestic and international businesses and buyers.

As the shrimp–rice sector faces increasing requirements on quality, traceability, and sustainable production. This activity provided an opportunity for farmers and cooperatives to access new technologies, better understand market standards, and gradually adapt to green transition trends
“Attending the exhibition today has allowed me to learn about many new types of feed and modern technologies that we can explore and apply to shrimp farming at our cooperative in the future,” shared Huynh Thi Ly, a member of Hoa De Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperative.
