ESG, an acronym for Environmental, Social, and Governance, represents key factors in assessing the sustainability and responsible practices of enterprises. The application of ESG criteria is gaining global traction as it showcases the responsible and resilient nature of businesses. Embracing ESG principles enables enterprises to foster trust with the community and investors, contributing to long-term success and sustainable growth.
During the seminar, students were exposed to a comprehensive range of topics encompassing work ethics within the banking and investment industry, as well as the emerging trends and significance of ESG for enterprises, banks, and financial institutions. The objective was to foster an understanding of how ESG principles contribute to sustainable development, environmental preservation, and social justice.
It was emphasized that young individuals, including both the workforce and customers, hold a pivotal position in shaping and upholding the ESG criteria of businesses, banks, and financial institutions. Their active involvement is crucial for driving positive change and ensuring the long-term success of ESG practices.
