Consultant to kick-off learning event on Feminism and Gender Equality.

Objectives

To provide OiV staff with knowledge, understanding and facilitate debates about following topics:

  • Feminism and history of feminist theories and movements over the globe
  • Differences and similarities between feminism and gender equality.
  • Rationalisation of why gender equality matters

Scope of work

• Work with Oxfam staff in charge to develop detailed content for a one-day learning event

• Deliver the learning event including discussion and Q&A with OiV staff in a hybrid format (both online and in-person)

Outputs/ outcomes

• Learning event agenda

• Developed content and related presentation

• Reference materials if any

Timeline

One day (from 9:00 to 17:00) between 6 to 10 December 2022.

The detail plan will be discussed between Gender Program team and the consultant.

Required competence:

  • At least a master's degree in development/social sciences or equivalent; PhD is preferred
  • Have in-depth understanding and strong experience in gender work, including but not limited to feminism, gender equality and other gender-related issues
  • Have experience in teaching and/or training
  • Have strong presentation and facilitation skills

Oxfam in Vietnam will recruit based on the quality of proposal, applicant’s experience, and the proposed budget.
